I recently penned a piece for the September 2025 issue of Woman & Home magazine about something that used to keep me up at night: not being on the property ladder in my 40s.

But you know what? I’ve stopped having 3am panic attacks about living out old age in a cardboard box – life is far too short for any of that nonsense. Yes, it shouldn’t be so damn hard to buy in this country (and in this article I explore why some of that is, particularly for women). But we are where we are, and since I loosened my grip on trying to achieve the property ‘dream’, I for one am far happier.
